Earthy

These colors seemed so appropriate for autumn, my favorite time of year for clothing. This day, I was simply itching to wear a dark berry color– not usual for a nice June day, but it was a nice change of pace from brights. It really was a beautiful day.

Alex

Sometimes I like to dress like my friends. I don’t have one friend that has a bad personal style. My own style changes quite often and I like to try out new things. Today’s post shall be dedicated to my friend Alex! Not only do I love her style, but I am wearing the same shoes she owns right now (which I promptly picked up at Target after seeing them on her feet during the last book club) and I am wearing a shirt I would never buy BUT she actually gave to me. Alex has a clean style that I can admire- classic, casual, and cool.

I do not look classic, casual, or cool. (Maybe casual.) But the inspiration is there!

Stranger Tides

I think I own all of the OPI 2011 Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides nail polishes. There was a great sale going on at Ulta during that time, and I was one of the first people there that Sunday (right after we finished Mother’s Day lunch) to pick up a few when it was first released. This was back in the day (lols, only last year) when crackle was all “oh-la-la,” and I just *had* to have that silver crackle… not that I’ve used it much. So I purchased the collection and did not wear much of it. They are great colors too, perfect for spring, and while I knew this, there were always other new polishes to try out, ones that were not so subdued. I love me some brights. This NOTD does not match anything I own and I would have felt better wearing it in the winter. The color was hot hot hot last year, and I love that companies have embraced the awkward shades, but in reality, I can’t match many outfits to it. The day I wore this was a rainy day, and couple that with the fact that I disliked my first outfit, I changed during my lunch break.
