True story.
I saw a photo on Instagram with the hashtag #ipaintedmynailsinthedark. I’m addicted to Instagram, so of course I instantly make a response post. I’m, like, the second person to post a picture. General premise: paint your nails in the dark. It’s not as easy as you expect it to be!
This is China Glaze Cowgirl Up. I was just surprised I got most of my nails. It looked very unfortunate, however.

And then someone took that picture and made this little jewel.

Hundreds of people liked her pic. In a word, it became viral. Someone else found it and showed it to me. It is a horrible picture, but it is very funny. That is the story of how I became a 15 second Internet sensation.
I asked my husband if he wanted to interview an Internet meme the next morning. He said no.
The truth is, you kind of feel the same.
A few days later, a friend said she saw my photo on Facebook, and why would I paint my nails like that?
It’s a joke.
Love this story! I’ve seen that photo and would never guess it was yours!
That is so cool, Ali! I’m impressed about your moment of Instagram fame as a meme!!!!(I don’t think that I would want anyone to see my nails painted in the dark, though! Mine would be pretty bad!!)
